Learning and Teaching Critical Thinking Course

We are excited to offer a new online course organized by the International Council of Ophthalmology and taught by Dr. Eduardo Mayorga: Learning and Teaching Critical Thinking.

Critical thinking is the ability that helps us make the best decisions when deciding what to do or what to believe. The ability to think critically is an advantageous skill, and it is key to being a successful professional in the 21st century. This 8-week course is designed to improve your analytical abilities and help you be more impactful in your decisions.

The course is expected to require from 2 to 3 hours a week, depending on the participant’s previous experience and knowledge.

By the end of the course participants will:

  • Improve their skills to make deliberate decisions in both professional and personal settings.
  • Facilitate group decision making by presenting an effective model for discussions.
  • Be better equipped to help students develop their own critical thinking skills.
